Car Insurance Daewoo (Car Insurance). should i buy a salvage car?should i buy a salvage car? okay so i'm looking at a 2005 Ford Focus and it has normal wear damage is this a good car to buy?? it costs $1900 and it has no scratches or dents on the outside You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net it may be good but if you want to sell it again its going to be realy hard Depends on: state laws, insurance co's willingness to insure it; accuracy of it's title, there's much fraud w/ "branded" titles such as Salvage, Rebuilt, Theft Recovery, Lemon return, etc. === NEVER BUY A SALVAGED AUTO ==== these cars may have been in a flood, tornado, bad wreck, === they are hard to re-sell ---------- so here's the story about salvaged cars .... the Mercedes that Princess Diana was killed in was three (3) different cars that were welded back together to make a complete ride and it was a very poor decision for the Paris Hotel (the Ritz) to buy that car and use it for customer transportation .. not safe, they come apart, it is a cheap and very bad pruchase... please find a car that has good history and no problems............. Remember if it's salvaged, an insurance company decided that the repairs would cost more than the car is worth. With that in mind, both trying to insure it and reselling it will be difficult. Personally, I would not, but if you want to pursue it, at least ask your insurance company if they'll even cover it and what it will cost, then take the car to a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection and let them know it has a salvage title. That will probably cost you around $100 and a little bit of your time. Auto parts : Air Tank Acura 1995 . Air Tank Plumbing Alfa Romeo 1996 . Alarm Light Audi 1997 . *suspension. Control arms Control arms are sometimes referred to as A arms, A frames, I arms, or links (refer to Figure 11-3). Ever hear the term multi-link suspension? That means that more than one link is holding the wheel to the frame or body. 196 Part II: What Makes It Go?. Stabilizer bars Most vehicles have a front stabilizer bar with associated linkage that is designed to prevent the car from leaning when it corners (see Figure 11-6). These stabilizers (or anti-sway bars) also improve high-speed stability. Some cars also include a rear stabilizer bar. The stabilizer connects one side of the 461

Why doesn't the psi change when a normal operating tire is removed from the vehicle it was mounted to?
I do not fully understand what you are asking. The psi of the tire is based on what vehicle it is mounted on. The same size tire... * stabilizer bar and linkage. Springs Springs are the core of the suspension system. Various types of springs are used to absorb the bumps and keep your car at its proper trim height. These can be coil springs, leaf springs, torsion bars, or air springs (see Figure 11-7). Most cars use either coil or leaf springs; sport-utility vehicles use coil springs, torsion bars, or leaf springs. You'll find computer-controlled air springs on select luxury cars, such as Chrysler New Yorkers, Lincoln Continentals, and some Cadillacs. .Chapter 11: Steering and Suspension Systems Smooth the Way 107 Coil spring Leaf springs Figure 11-7: Coil springs, leaf springs, Daewoo . Leaf springs are usually made up of several relatively thin metal plates, called leaves, piled one on top of the other. The reason for using these layers instead of one thick metal bar is that, as a bar bends, the top of the bar has to stretch a little. Unlike a single, thick bar, which, if bent too far, would split from the top down, leaf springs are more flexible — each leaf bends independently, and the leaves can slide on one another instead of breaking (see Figure 11-8). Each end of a set of leaf springs is attached to the frame at the rear of the car with fittings that allow the springs to bend and move freely. These fittings usually have rubber bushings that allow the fittings to bend and twist freely; they also absorb some of the vibration and pre vent it from reaching the passenger compartment. See Chapter 16 for details on leaf springs and how to care for them. Daewoo .
